GT Radial had another great weekend in Utah on Sept. 15-16 for the 7th race of the 2023 Formula DRIFT competition. Matt Field led the team to a second-place finish and Simen Olsen took third. The outstanding result marks seven podium finishes for GT Radial in seven races this year.

After round 7, GT Radial drivers are in a close 2nd and 3rd in the championship points, and the brand is currently in 2nd place in the Tire Points Cup. GT Radial has a chance to win both championships at the final race of the season in Irwindale CA, on Oct. 14.

The Utah Motorsports Campus near Salt Lake City, UT, has become a favorite among many of the drivers. The high-speed track has an elevated status, not simply because it’s 4,000 feet above sea level, but also because it hosts the Final Round of the Formula DRIFT Link ECU PROSPEC Championship. And by default, it also hosts Round 7 of the PRO Championship, the penultimate event before the PRO title is decided at the Irwindale Final. With so much on the line, fans witnessed an intense weekend of drift action.
